| DAY TRIP TO TARPON SPRINGS - FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 17 (Reservation by Feb. 5) Contact Shirley Layman: Lay1127@ comcast.net, or call: 633-2075 Spend a day enjoying Florida's Greek sponge culture, food, pastries, and gifts. We meet at SeaBreeze Recreation Center at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 17. Car Pools will be formed. Departure is 9:00 sharp. The ride takes about an hour and a half. Some browsing, lunch, and then a delightful boat tour from Tarpon Springs out to the Gulf. The ride includes a half hour stop on a sandy beach (lots of washed up shells, and sponges)so be sure to bring the right footwear... and if you think you'd like to hike up the pant legs for some splashing, dress for that too. Cost for the boat tour is $18.25. includes tax, but not tip. Recommended tip for boat is 3.00. Lunch on your own. Lots of Greek restaurants, or go American if you wish.
