Sumter Singles Poker Run 2:30 pm; and Picnic: 5:15pm, Sunday, February 26 at Lake Miona Recreation Center
If you don’t want to do the Poker Run spend the afternoon at Lake Miona playing cards or games, that’s fine, too. We will be set up for you in the meeting room. Then, enjoy the picnic at 5:15.

ONLY 2012 paid SS members can participate in the Poker Run. Updated badges required! ( There will be a Sumter Singles Membership table available if your membership is not current.)

Poker Run Fee: $10.00 per player
Poker Run Registration at Lake Miona Lobby
1.        At Lake Miona, regular meeting on Jan 22 (2:30-3:30)
2.        At Lake Miona, February 26, 2:30-3:30

Poker Run Sheet (with instructions)   will be handed out at the start of the run on Feb. 26.
There will be five participating rec centers (disclosed on the day of the Poker Run)

At each rec center, there will be a table in the lobby, and a “dealer” with a deck of cards. The player will pick a single card from the deck. The “Dealer” will note the chosen card on the players
Poker Run sheet. Player then goes on to next rec center, until s/he has picked out 7 cards in all.

The best hand is the best FIVE card hand (poker rules apply)

Return completed Poker Run sheet to Lake Miona no later than 5:15, then head into the picnic room. Late comers are out of the game (so go the rules of poker ), not be eligible for a prize.

Hands will be reviewed by our poker-playing experts, and winners will be announced at 6:00 during the indoor picnic. (The club will keep a portion of the registration funds; the major portion
goes to 3 winners. Tied hands will get equal amounts.

Elections of Officers! We now have a slate of Officers for the March election thanks to the members of the AdHoc
Committee formed in January and 200 calls by Carl Anderson and Meeting canvasing by Jerry Arnold of the
nominating Committee! At the Feb.Activities there will be a sign up sheet for nominations at each activity
table,Membership, poker run,and card room,which will be the (nominations from the floor) and the the Candidates will
be Introduced and elected At the March meeting. Here are the present Nominees;
